MHI split freezing up, hardly even cold here

Hi fellas,
I've got an MHI 9kw high wall splitty, seems to be getting into the habit of freezing the condensor every hour or so, then taking half an hour to run through the defrost cycle.
I don't remember this happening last year, unit is about 2 years old.
I installed it. It's in a lounge / rumpus that is probably around the 75 square meter mark. The outside temp is currently 1 degree centigrade.
It's frozen up twice tonight.
What's your thoughts?

Condensor capacity

Hi,

I am sizing a condensor unit based on capacity. Can someone confirm my capacity calculation.

1. I start with an evaporator capacity of 160kW. With the refrigerant enthalpies and capacity of 160kW I calculate the massflow. Massflow=Capacity_evap / (Enthalpy_out - Enthalpy_in) Units of enthalpy are in kJ/kg

2. With the massflow calculated in step 1 and the working conditions of the condensor I determine the enthalpies in the condensor. The condensor capacity is then Capacity_cond = Massflow x (Enthalpy_cond_in - Enthalpy_cond_out)

Is this the right method of determining the required condensor capacity?

if AC unit works perfectly
then y sometimes there will be no water drain
or why it will be too much water
what condition that could prevent it or decrease or increase it

Daewoo fridge frs-2031 ial trouble with ice maker

Hello
i have trouble with my Daewoo fridge FRS-2031 IAL
When i push buton WATER/ICE nothing hapend. Ice maker work fine making Ice but i cann not activate ice cube or crushed ice its only stay on water. Did any of you have the same problem

Carrier Transicold Oasis 250

Hi guys need your help.
I have Carrier unit "oasis 250" model
My problem is "the unit when it running in diesel mode and it just continue running?/working/

Setting is "3 degrees" and in cycle mode "on"

most of the time before it reach 3 degrees the unit will stop/cutoff but then immediately it will start/cut-in again while in 3 degrees, i try also to to make "cycle mode off" but still same problem 3 degrees off but at the same time it will running again.

i check it also in electric mode it stop at 3 degrees and start at 6 degrees which is o.k normal

i have check & replace all my sensor, pc board, microprocessor, cab control
but still the same problem again :confused:

Daikin BRC1C51/61 ducted a/c

Hi,

I have Daikin ducted system. Outside unit is running fine, when i turn the switch on system runs for a couple of minutes than stays idle. Error code E03 showing funny thing is tech came over and said pcb and motor fan is not functioning. I was playing around with wall mount controller and tried to reset, does anyone know how to master reset.

Condensing Unit selection ?

Can someone help me to select the right condensing unit that fulfills the following specification :

Capacity=.8 KW (I think it's too low put my application to cool 5 litres of antifreeze to -20°C)

Evaporating temperature=-25°C
Condensing temperature=40°C

Superheat=10
subcooling=10 these two are recommendations and can be changed if I am wrong?

I am using coolpack to get the cycle information for R-22 and R404A

The Refrigerant: R22
Data:
Te [°C] = -25.00
Tc [°C] = 40.00
DT subcooling [K] = 10.00
DT superheat [K] = 10.00
Isentropic efficiency = 1.00

As you can see the cop for R-22 is higher and it's price is much less than R404A
but when I go to http://www.embraco.com/catalog/Default.aspx?language=EN
to select a condensing unit as they are available in my country if found the evaporating temperature for R22 is ranging from -15 to 10°C ?

Can someone please help me cause I am not an expert if something i don't understand please tell me.

Samsung DVM VRF recovery/pressure test setting

Hi

I am working on a samsung RVMR100GCMO DVM series 3 pipe system which a previous engineer has claimed to have lost all its gas. I am in the process of pressure testing the system however I'm not sure if like other 3 pipe systems I have worked on, it has an "open valve" setting to make sure I am pressure testing the full system.

I have no info/manuals for this system and cannot find anything online that might indicate how I can do this, there are a few buttons on the outdoor pcb which look like they could be used in a way to make the system do this like Iv seen on other systems.

Has anybody worked on a similar system in the past by Samsung that might know or have any info on them? Iv trawled the net for anything and samsungs after sales service Iv found is shocking, I literally can't find one contact for any air conditioning specific material.

City Multi h0 fault code

Hi guys,

I've got a city multi system, PUMY-P140YKM1 outdoor, one of the indoor units PEFY-P32VMS1 shows h0 then controller goes blank. (PAC-YT52CRA) No centralised controller.

Electrician on site has just confirmed there is 240V to the indoor unit.

System was installed by ourselves last year, with another 3x PUMY systems, commissioned by Mitsubishi, so all addressing etc ok, any help on what to start looking at before I go to site? (500 mile round trip)

Inner grooved and finned tubes for condenser and chillers

my company manufacturing chilling plants and we are developing new condensers and chillers for our machines. I want to use inner grooved and outer finned tubes in shell and tubes type condensers and chillers for improving the efficiency of the system but i have doubts about the scaling problem that generally comes in these machines. I think due to grooves inside the tubes the scales might not be able to be cleaned properly during descaling and this may decrease the efficiency of the system. Can any one give suggestions from your experience ?

We use climaveneta chiler with 2 bitzer motors .
We have alarm no.281.
I open the cover of the motor and i see ,we don't have oil in the motor.

what is the problem and how to solve problem.
Now motor is switch off.

Hey guys does anyone know how to change which temperature sensor controls operation of the unit on a PAR-21MAA wired controller. I want to switch control from the sensor in the controller to the one located in the return air plenum. Any advice would be great.

Insights for making Freezer room for my Central Kitchen

Hi Guys,

i'm going to install a freezer room on my Central Kitchen.
and the place is under renovation right now.

I need insights here guys, because i dont know wether my Freezer Room Contractor give the right equipments or not

here are the details of my kitchen activity:
Central Kitchen for making Chinese Dough "YouTiao" and "Butterfly Bun"

The Central Kitchen will have these steps:
1.Storing
2.Mixing
3.Storing (Freezer Room)
4.Defrost - ing
5.Frying
6.Packaging or Selling

Here is the floor plan if you want to see (on attachemtn XDL_1st)
so the situation here, the room will be between mixing room and frying room (don't worry the frying room will have decent exhaust and ducting for the air flow).

Here are the items that im going to put on the freezer room:
1.Dough
2.Dough degree around 15-25c
3.Dough expected to be -5 c
4.Cooling down time 1-2 days no problem
5.will be put on a tray (there's hole on the tray on each side) 1 tower of tray approx 158 kg (22 trays)
6.room will be expected on 1st year of production 6000 KG
7. dough will be put one by one.

Here are the specs that my contractor give to me:

1.Insulation Pannel 100mm, plate color bond 0,5 mm inside & outside
2.Density 42 kg / m3
3.2 swing doors
4.flooring - PU panel
5.compressor - Bitzer 3 HP
6.Evaporator Muller
7.Price USD 15.254 exclude tax 10%

so..
others also offer me to use 4hp Copeland Fully hermetic (ZXL040E-TFD) and 5hp COPELAND.

so what do you guys think,
should i use the 3 HP ? because this freezer room will effects to my COGS per product!

Need to make a new condensing unit for an old CO2 storage tank.

The current TXV is TFL-3, R12.

Does anyone have the capacity\pressure drop table for it?
