hi all.i had post last year also a thread here and i had the code for the ac but it didnt help.my ac when i turn it on works for 5 min just the inddoor unit and then it stops and timer and smart saver leds are flashing after it stops.
at the outdoor unit ive noticed after i start the ac there is a 220v dc on the mains board after few seconds but on the pcb board there no led on.also after the ac stops by itself on the outdoor pcb there is no led on.no error code?i send the outdoor pcb for service and the tech there replace some parts and said that it should be ok.after he tested it.
is there a chance that i ve to reset both indoor and outdoor unit cause it looks like that there is no contact between them?or if u can diagnose any other problem i ll be thankfull!
the code i ve for that model is:547677D23d

Daikin iTouch issues

Hi, I'm having problems with a hotel we look after. There are 5 floors of Daikin vrv III ducted units that are all controlled from 2 itouches. When I called Daikin tech they asked if they have the pen on top or on the side. They are the former.
In a nutshell two units have completely disappeared from the system and on the 5th floor room 521 has changed its label to its address (something like 1:1-01, which can still be seen in properties, and all the subsequent units on the list have shifted down one number I.e. Room 522 is now labelled as room 523 but is still 522 in properties and so on.
Unfortunately the bloke I spoke to at Daikin seemed quite inexperienced and said he had never heard of this change of labelling before and no idea how it could happen. Re the units that disappeared he said that they must have lost their addresses on the system and need re addressing and adding to the system.
I will be back on site tomorrow and calling them up again but any help from you guys would be great!

Thanks,

Markie.

Hi,

Could do with a bit of assistance with this issue.

Original fault code that appeared was L9.

Replaced a compressor and outdoor PCB on this unit, found a blocked expansion valve which caused the failure of the 2 components. Compressor got that hot, it melted the wiring harness to the compressor and damaged the board.

I have run the unit with the new compressor, outdoor pcb and expansion valve but the pressures seem all over the place in heating. Cooling seems OK. Head pressure will go anywhere from 350psi, to 500psi. Compressor is getting very hot again and I'm concerned its going to do the same again.

I'm wondering if the expansion valve is closing off too far and increasing the discharge pressure too high? Is this EEV controlled off a thermistor or pressure transducer?

Thanks in advance as always,

Rick

Good evening all.
I'm not sure if this is acceptable, or in the correct section. I'm sure the admin's will advise.

This is not a job/work offer.

This an opportunity to become involved in an existing registered business in Tenerife, and ultimately to take financial control. The reason is simple - retirement of the persons involved!

The core business is air conditioning sales, installation and maintenance, and which also includes pool heat pumps.

There also a secondary off-shoot that maintains (mainly) catering refrigeration.

You will require, and not in any specific order,

A CV that contains qualifiable and traceable experience.
An internationally recognised refrigeration training qualification.
A valid Refrigerant Handling Certificate. The Spanish 'Certificado de Gases Flourados' is very difficult to obtain.
A working Knowledge of Spanish. (The suppliers and some clients are Spanish speaking!)
Air conditioning and refrigeration experience.
A desire to work hard.

Interested?

PM me please, or email to graham@totalclimatetech.es

Our open grab and go display cases are very basic. A Condensing unit, TXV, 2-circuit evaporator and a couple of fans. We've built a hundred over the years we know they work. I got a service call and the mechanic has us scratching our heads. It's a 404a system head pressure 350 suction 90. Superheat 8 f, discharge temp 50 f . The ambient temp is 72f- 76f. there are no outside air currents affecting it. Nothing is blocking return or supply grills. The discharge velocity is 260 fpm (normal). the delta T is 15 degrees f over the condenser. The mechanic has changed the TXV and drier, recovered the refrigerant , evacuated and recharged to the proper levels. He has changed the condensing unit and still no change.

The service manager the mechanic and myself are at an im-pass so I thought I'd toss it up to this group.

Thanks for taking the time...

Hi guys can you confirm this is correct as I am doubting myself

discharge superheat
1 x discharge pressure & check with comparator what temperature it is
2 x measure actual discharge temp
3 x difference between 2 give s you discharge superheat

r407c chiller @ 100%
discharge pressure 16.5 bar = 40C
discharge temp 64C
discharge superheat 24C ??????

is this correct

cheers guys

Hi was woundering if anyone can help me with an issue I have with some vrv units.
Have 4 ducted indoor units off 1 BRC1D controler. The controler says unit 4 is AF. I know the fault is about the float switch. But is there a way to figure out which indoor is unit no 4 from the controler? Could save me a lot of pain trying to gain access to units that are not in fault. Thanks
