The fridge-freezer is 7 years old. Both compartments are too warm. the problem was discovered after the house was left cold (around 5 degrees C for a few days). problem remained when house was heated up.
Temp in freezer varied between -3 and -20 when setting was -22. Fridge compartment was warmer than the setting (+2 degrees setting - temp inside compartment was about 8 degrees). Warning light for freezer temp came on only once but remains off when temp in freezer is -3).
Compressor is hot at top at times. Occasional ice forms at back of fridge section and it then melts & drips down into container at back.
This model has one compressor, but I think it might have separate cooling circuits for each compartment. as it has 2 electonic controls, I suspect there are two temp sensors.
I am assuming that, as the problem affects both compartments, that it is not a temp sensor.
Any advice much appreciated. I want to decide whether it is worth repairing or getting a new one. Thanks very much.
