Hello - Anyone have some Ardco Swingline 3 conversion experience?

Hi, I'm trying to do a conversion (from Right-opening to Left-opening) on some Ardco Swingline 3 freezer case doors. Can anyone tell me if you need to remove the Hinge-pins so that the Spring-loaded ones stay on the top of the door? And if they do - how do you remove them?
